Grandman has another stroke

We just had a phone call to say that my Dad, Grandman as we all call him, has just a a more serious stroke and has been taken to hospital. This time he is paralysed down his right side. He has been so courageous in the years since he had his first stroke which took some of his ability to express himself clearly. We hardly ever talk without his mentioning his thankfulness to God. What a man.

Dad and Mum have done us nothing but good all of our lives. What a heritage!! What a blessing!! We are praying that in all of this they will be given peace. They are both ready to go to be with the Master they have served and loved so long.

Chris and Esther Land in Kabul

It is with mixed emotions that we hear that Chris and Esther and baby Zara have arrived in Kabul. On the one hand Elsie and I are delighted that they are there, since it is the fulfilment of the Lord's call on their lives. On the other is the almost inevitable feeling of parents as they watch their loved ones move far away into a dangerous situations. God bless them and make them a blessing
